An exhibit by Dr. Paul Chang and colleagues from the University of Pittsburgh earned the RSNA's infoRAD summa cum laude award.
The exhibit, Dynamic Transfer Syntax: A flexible representation and interactive image data delivery protocol for enterprise-wide image distribution and integration, demonstrated innovative ways to transfer complex images without the cost or time-delay of conventional PACS. In addition to Chang, the winning team included J. Huffman, C. Betancourt, B. McCurtain, and J. Lui.
The RSNA's secret Scientific Awards committee, whose members remain anonymous even after the meeting ends, also selected four magna cum laude winners and 43 certificate of merit winners.
