Canon USA Inc. has received FDA 510(k) clearance for its digital radiography detectors, the company announced Tuesday.
The Canon CSDI-80C wireless digital radiography detector and the CXDI-501 Series DR detectors received clearance.
The CXDI-80C wireless DR detector features a lightweight design with an imaging area of about 11 x 14 inches. It weighs 5.1 pounds and incorporates a 6.1-megapixel image sensor with a pixel pitch of 125 microns and a Cesium Iodide (CsI) scintillator, according to the company.
The CXDI-501 series detectors each include a detachable cable and cassette compatibility and a 14 x 17-inch imaging area, and weigh about 6.8 pounds. The CXDI-501C and CXDI-501G DR detectors also have an approximately 9.5 million megapixel image sensor with a pixel pitch of 125 microns and either a Cesium Iodide (CsI) or Gadolinium Oxysulfide (GSO) scintillator, respectively, according to Canon.
