Keane Healthcare Executives Address HIPAA Security Concerns at QuickCompliance 'Ask-the-Expert' Seminar on April 27, 2004

April 21, 2004

WESTPORT, Conn., April 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- QuickCompliance, Inc. today announced that healthcare experts from Keane, Inc. will present on April 27, 2004 at its "Ask-the-Experts" HIPAA security web seminar series. Rosemary Abell, Director of Keane's National Healthcare Vertical Solutions (HVS) Organization, and Raymond L. Smith, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), will discuss how to balance the needs of the business against the capability and resources of Information Technology (IT). Specifically, Ms. Abell and Mr. Smith will cover:

- Technical Standards of the Security Rule - Compliance relationships to configuration and security controls - Using the Information System Security Model (ISSM) methodology - Business responsibility to review and approve of the ISSM - What the business should expect from IT

"With limited budgets and strong demands for information security, healthcare organizations must establish additional information security processes," stated Abell. "Through the adoption of a structured information systems security model, IT and business leaders can see where information security is already applied and where it needs to be hardened. During this seminar we will introduce the concept of an Information System Security framework that will help organizations establish confidence in the current information security or assist them in identifying changes."

Rosemary Abell R.N. spearheads Keane's leadership in the healthcare marketplace and is a driving force in Keane's business development effort to supply healthcare clients with innovative IT solutions aimed at addressing limited budgets and growing regulatory demands. Ms. Abell has over 30 years combined experience in the information technology, nursing, and patient services administration fields. She is a registered nurse and a member of the American Nurses Association, ASTM, HIMSS, and the President of the North Carolina Healthcare Information Communication Alliance.

Raymond L. Smith is a seasoned healthcare leader with over 27 years in the healthcare industry. Mr. Smith is the lead solution architect for information security for Keane's National Healthcare Vertical Solutions (HVS) Organization and is a skilled technologist and professional analyst who applies business process modeling acumen born of three decades supporting healthcare operations and information systems.

"We're delighted to have such industry notables like Rosemary Abell and Raymond Smith present at our 'Ask-the-Expert' series. Their insights and real world experience will certainly shed light on how compliance officers and IT professionals can better collaborate to meet the HIPAA Security mandate." Said John Parmigiani, QuickCompliance's Senior Vice President for Consulting Services.
