Nuclear medicine society serves up online CME

The Society of Nuclear Medicine's recently launched Lifelong Learning and Self-Assessment Program offers online modules to help physicians comply with new maintenance of certification requirements, including 20 nuclear medicine-specific CME credits every year.

The current courses are for oncology PET and PET/CT and include gastrointestinal and hematologic malignancies, solitary pulmonary nodules and lung cancer, and melanoma-sarcoma-neuroendocrine malignancies (J Nucl Med 2006;47:21N-22N).

Future courses include SPECT, SPECT/CT, and therapy with unsealed radioactive sources.
