Radiologists handpicked by vendors for their acumen at operating advanced visualization workstations reconstructed data at the Workstation Face-Off during the May International Symposium on Multidetector-Row CT in San Francisco. Dr. Michalle Soudack, head of the pediatric radiology department at Haim Sheba Medical Center in Israel, took the controls of the Carestream Health PACS during the face-off, reconstructing all cases on its Carestream PACS workstation. Soudack leveraged the automated centerline identification function onboard the web-based PACS to reconstruct carotid and intracranial images. The centerline appears as a red line in the 3D reconstruction (left), as green lines in the two gray-scale coronal slices (center), and a green “X” on the axial slice (right).
