Agfa to unveil CR, DR products at RSNA 2009
A next generation computed radiography (CR) system and two digital radiography (DR) systems will debut in the Agfa Healthcare booth during RSNA 2009. The new CR product, dubbed DX-G, will offer high image quality at low x-ray dose. In this, the product’s global launch, Agfa plans to promote its use in general radiology, extremities, neonatal, and pediatric applications. The company will also highlight two work-in-progress digital radiography systems, the DX-D 500n and DX-D 300 DR systems. These two systems promise near real-time image previews and rapid cycle times to boost radiography department productivity. Among the other highlights at the upcoming trade show will be the CR 30-X system and the SE image management suite – CR and hardcopy offerings tailored for smaller facilities. On the image distribution side, the company will show its work-in-progress Impax Mobility Enterprise Visualization technology being developed to access longitudinal imaging records held in the Impax Data Center. Impax Mobility is designed to be integrated with the electronic medical record, providing user access to images in patient clinical records. Another work-in-progress will be the Impax Data Center Viewer, powered by XERO, a zero-download medical imaging viewer developed to provide access to imaging information for clinicians at any point of care.
