ORLANDO, FL — Younger radiologists expect to be able to access patient information immediately and share it seamlessly — a growing trend facing the field of radiology. That’s according to Woojin Kim, MD, associate director of imaging informatics, and assistant professor of radiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Kim, who spoke at SIIM 2012, talked with Diagnostic Imaging at the conference about trends facing radiology, from data search and analytics to mobile technologies. Kim, the principal architect of Montage search engine software, also offered some insights on what to do once you’ve developed a good idea for a radiology informatics tool. One major suggestion: Have passion for your idea and dedication to see it through the process.
