Rogan signs U.S. distributor
NCD Medical Corporation has signed on as a U.S. distributor of Rogan-Delft PACS software. Most of the 400 Rogan PACS have been sold to sites in North
Central Europe. The Ohio distributor will seek to expand the North American installed base of Rogan's modular PACS, which features a RIS interface; high-speed web viewing; and orthopedic, mammography, MIP-MPR-3D, and nuclear medicine components. NCD will leverage its own electronic worldwide information exchange (eWIX) to provide prospective customers with access to the Rogan software as well as to an archive for imaging studies. An eWIX-based PACS, using Rogan software, can be configured for a capital investment under $10,000, according to NCD. The eWIX can also be used as a disaster recovery service, if the organization uses its own system for archiving, storage, and access.
GE helps out Fonar again
The sale of a second Fonar UpRight MR scanner to a Minneapolis imaging center was secured with the help of GE Healthcare, which has a comarketing agreement with the dedicated MR vendor. The first sale to the Center for Diagnostic Imaging, completed a half year ago, was done with GE's help as well. Both units were purchased by CDI in partnership with the Northwestern College of Chiropractic of Bloomington, MN.
