When found early, thyroid cancer has a good prognosis, but it is typically diagnosed by needle biopsy. Recently published research reveals that combining photoacoustic and ultrasound images with artificial intelligence can lead to accurate diagnoses in a non-invasive way. Look for an article later this week that details the results of this study published in Cancer Research.
