Carestream Highlights Expanded Cloud Services

Carestream will showcase its expanded Vue for Cloud Services with mobile imaging data access from its Vue Motion viewer, and higher levels of encryption and security through the Intel Xeon processor E7 family.

The company also demonstrated as a works-in-progress its cloud-based patient portal that will allow for patient access to view and share medical imaging data. The portal will integrate with the facility’s electronic health records.

Carestream’s Vue cloud services allow for radiologists and clinicians to acces data, exams and reports from any location. A portal for data access by referring physicians is expected to be available by the end of March, the company said.

Carestream also highlighted its VuePACS and Vue Connect powered by SuperPACS technology. Vue PACS provides access to imaging data and reports through the vendor-neutral Vue Motion zero-footprint viewer, which is cleared by the FDA for use with mobile devices. SuperPACS allows for the exchange of information within disparate RIS and PACS systems at any location for multi-site radiology workflow.
