Julie Kaufield, MA, RT(R)

Julie Kaufield, MA, RT(R), is a freelance medical writer with a master's degree in Writing from DePaul University and almost twenty years of combined clinical and managerial experience within the fields of radiology and radiology nursing. Previously, she managed a large, academic based interventional radiology department at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and also has operational experience running multiple modality departments including CT, MR, IR, general diagnostics, and radiology nursing. She is a member of the American Medical Writer's Association and maintains active registry through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. She currently resides in Chicago, IL, with her husband and two children.
