Radiology should expect to see more mergers and affiliations, Larry Muroff, MD, said at ACR 2015.The logistics behind the trend of mergers and acquisitions in radiology vary from practice to practice but one thing Muroff is sure of is “as numbers go up linearly, problems tend to go up exponentially.”Reasons Muroff provided for mergers are highlighted in the slideshow, but Muroff suggests before any merger discussion is had, to ensure that there is a compelling reason for the merger and that all practice members have an understanding of what the reason is.
