ADS to Debut Patient Portal

Article

Advanced Data Systems will introduce at RSNA 2013 a new patient communication portal for its RIS.

The portal will allow patients to contact an imaging center, access forms, and receive exam instructions and results, the company said.

The MedicsRIS portal will present patients with an easy-to-use interface which can be personalized for the imaging center. Patients can request an appointment and obtain forms. Information is stored in the imaging center’s MedicsRIS. Patients can also receive exam instructions, and reports will be available to referring physicians and other authorized users.

The portal is designed to be a time-saving tool for imaging centers and provide enhanced communication for patients, the company said.
