A Kaiser score > 5 with breast MRI demonstrated a 97 percent sensitivity and 87.9 percent specificity for predicting malignancy in patients with BI-RADS 0 or 4 presentations on mammography and breast ultrasound, according to a new study.

Breast Density Notification Laws - Iowa
Information about Iowa's breast density notification legislation.

Effective January 1, 2018.
Recipient: All patients, with individual patient's density classification.
Notification text: Reports to patients with heterogeneously dense or extremely dense breats, or an equivalent determination by another nationally recognized density gradient system, shall include evidence-based information on dense breast tissue, the increased risk associated with dense breast tissue, and the effects of dense breast tissue on screening mammography.
