Carestream to showcase enhancements to its DR/CR imaging systems at RSNA 2014.
The fully automated CARESTREAM DRX-Evolution DR Room features an enhancement that allows operators to manually move the overhead tube with assistance from the system’s motors to help reduce technologist fatigue, Carestream said.
The DRX-Ascend System will feature a ceiling-mounted tube option that provides versatile positioning for a variety of imaging exams. Updated software for Carestream’s DRX and CR systems includes an optional bone suppression feature that can improve visibility of lung nodules and other pathology, Carestream announced. It also includes the ability to collect radiation dose information using the IHE Radiation Dose Monitoring Profile from all CARESTREAM DR and CR systems and distribute it to a healthcare provider’s PACS.
Carestream said their imaging software also offers companion images that can enhance visualization of tubes, PICC lines, and pneumothorax.
