Nuclear Associates of Carle Place, NY, has begun marketing a digitalmammography phantom that makes it easier to compare the imagequality of digital and conventional mammography biopsy systems.Due to the phantom's small size (6.7 x 6.4 cm, with a 4-cm thickness),it can be imaged in its entirety in a single exposure, avoidingthe need to move the phantom. The phantom also contains the sameobjects that are embedded in the Mammographic Accreditation Phantom,according to the company.
