The package of point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) applications can reportedly facilitate rapid implementation of POCUS into imaging workflows.

For hospitals, clinics and other facilities that have struggled to adopt the use of point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), Exo has unveiled a package of POCUS applications with Exo Works Connect.

In addition to facilitating real-time collaboration between clinicians, Exo Works Connect streamlines documentation for ultrasound exams, according to Exo. The company notes that storage of images with Exo Works Connect can be compatible with a facility’s existing Picture Archiving Communication Systems (PACS), a vendor-neutral archive or through an Exo Works cloud system. Exo emphasizes that Exo Works Connect can be securely and quickly integrated into a facility’s IT infrastructure.

“Exo Works Connect has been designed for a low touch installation, enabling organizations to deploy a secure and compliant POCUS program in days, not months. As a result, providers can focus their time on improving quality, maintaining compliance, and enhancing ultrasound proficiency,” noted Sandeep Akkaraju, the co-founder and CEO of Exo.

Exo added that Exo Works Connect also provides a feature that tracks user proficiency, potentially making it a good complementary system for ultrasound education programs.
