Fonar featured a new scoliosis application for its Upright MR scanner. New software and a receiver coil produce coronal, sagittal, and axial views of the entire spine. The package is designed to provide a radiation-free alternative for diagnosing and monitoring the therapy of patients with scoliosis, a condition that affects approximately six million people in the U.S., according to the National Scoliosis Foundation.
