Analogic will market and distribute versions of Fischer Imagings chest and general-purpose digital radiography systems under a multimillion-dollar agreement that grew out of last years RSNA convention. At that meeting, Kodak unveiled a deal with Analogic and Direct Radiography for the two companies to collaborate on providing Kodak with DR systems.
Fischer made its debut with DR at that meeting and since then has installed several DR units throughout Europe and North America. Analogic signed a deal with Fischer Imaging to supply x-ray and hardware components that Analogic will integrate into Fischers systems before delivering them to Kodak.
Kodak will deliver the completed systems to healthcare providers, said Lou Rivelli, Fischers president and chief operating officer. The agreement is for a year, but it has the potential to continue longer, he said.
