Handheldmed, a provider of mobile applications for the Windows CE and Palm OS platforms, and Data Harbor, a data collection services firm, have formed a strategic alliance to integrate Handheldmed's Patient Tracker charting tool with Data Harbor's Residency Resource application. The integrated product will enable residents, faculty, and other clinicians to document clinical encounters, complete and monitor evaluations, and view scheduling information at the point of care. Privately held Handheldmed claims approximately 35,000 users for Patient Tracker. Pricing and release date for the new product were not available at press time.
