A deal announced July 31 between women's health equipment vendor Hologic and R2 Technology calls for the integration of the CAD pioneer's ImageChecker into Hologic's Lorad Selenia full-field digital mammography system. The agreement grants Hologic worldwide distribution rights for R2's OmniCAD Digital and film-based mammography suite of products customized for use with Selenia. The five-year agreement, which has two one-year renewal options, also provides Hologic the right to sell R2's film-based CAD products in conjunction with its digital-ready conventional screen-film mammography products.
