Imatron of South San Francisco, CA, this month announced the sale of an ultrafast CT scanner to Cardiac Imaging Management of New York City. The deal was financed by GE Capital, marking the first ultrafast CT sale to take place under the terms of the joint marketing alliance signed in June between Imatron and GE Medical Systems of Milwaukee (SCAN 6/24/98). The center will open Dec. 1 and will be the first of four Cardiac Imaging Management facilities to be set up in Manhattan by July 1999.
