Philips launches radiotherapy software Three new radiation oncology products from Philips Medical Systems were showcased at the meeting of the American Association of Physics in Medicine July 25 to 29 in Pittsburgh. The software products, which earlier cleared the FDA, run on Philips' Pinnacle3 radiation therapy planning system. Conformal Arc radiation planning software helps target hundreds of radiation beams. Modeling tools enhance accuracy and save time by providing a more exact representation of the linear accelerator's parameters. In addition, a sliding-window intensity-modulated radiation therapy planning tool creates a highly conformal dose distribution.
