Konica launches upright DR

Konica Minolta Medical Imaging introduced July 22 an upright flat-panel digital radiography system. The FDA-cleared FlexDR, which features an amorphous silicon and cesium iodide digital receptor, is available for immediate sale in the U.S. The DR system uses the same imaging control station as the company’s Nano and Xpress computed radiography systems. Konica is targeting high-volume facilities with the new upright product, which includes a subconsole mounted on the device's side to immediately verify patient information, control collimation, and preview images.

Following key FDA clearances, advanced visualization specialist Ziosoft has released the latest version of its 3D thin-client software for worldwide shipment. New applications, such as MR cardiac function analysis, as well as reporting and workflow enhancements are included, along with CT cardiac function and calcium scoring applications.
