The TE Air is reportedly the first handheld ultrasound device to offer dual connectivity to mobile devices or touch-based ultrasound systems.
Offering the promise of enhanced connectivity and dedicated presets for a variety of clinical exams, Mindray has launched TE Air, a wireless handheld ultrasound modality.
Mindray said the TE Air offers enhanced utility and accessibility, claiming that the device is the first handheld ultrasound that can be connected to mobile devices or the touch-based TE X Ultrasound System.
“The TE Air is a leap forward in ultrasound technology, offering comprehensive functionality inside or outside the hospital environment,” noted Wayne Quinn, the president of Mindray North America. “The new 2-in-1 innovative solution empowers clinicians to overcome the traditional constraints of cords and confined spaces, giving them access to premium scanning capability when and where they need it.”
The company noted a number of additional features with TE Air including:
• a phased array with exam presets for a variety of clinical exams including cardiac exams, transcranial imaging, lung imaging and OB/GYN exams;
• single crystal technology that facilitates high-resolution imaging quality; and
• a waterproof design that allows for easy cleaning of the device with compatible disinfectant products.
