Agfa unveiled a PACS designed specifically for orthopedic surgeons at the annual meeting of the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons Feb. 13 to 17 in Dallas. The system, called IMPAX for Orthopedics, integrates the company's specialty display station, the IMPAX OT3000, with other Agfa software and hardware. The system enables orthopedic surgeons, working from a dedicated workstation in their office or hospital department, to prepare for surgery and measure radiographic outcomes. Agfa has more than 600 PACS installations worldwide.
