Panasonic Computer Solutions will showcase its line of Toughbook mobile computers at the HIMSS (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society) conference later this month. The company will feature the Toughbook H1, a rugged "mobile clinical assistant" launched in November, in HIMSS Pavilion Product Sessions and in the booths of 30 HIMSS exhibitors, including Siemens Healthcare.
Medrad is expanding its repair service to include selected ultrasound probes. The Warrendale, PA, company's TotalRepair service will repair selected probes, such as transesophageal transducers for echo systems, as well as standard ones. The new offering, provided as part of the company's Multi Vendor Service that covers the repair of imaging peripherals such as MR coils, will not only help healthcare facilities reduce service costs, according to Medrad, but will also mitigate overall financial exposure with a capped, guaranteed "worst-case scenario" price provided upfront.
