Picker International's global salesin 1993 topped $1 billion for the first time in its history, thecompany reported this month. The Cleveland vendor recorded revenueof $1.01 billion for fiscal 1993 (end-March), up 6.8% over the$946 million recorded the year before.

Profits before tax also rose, from $64.4 million in 1992 to$79.5 million last year, a gain of 23%. The results were due tointernational growth as well as strong performances by the company'ssupplies and service divisions, according to president and CEOCary Nolan.
