Sony Electronics has introduced three rollabout and desktop videoconferencing systems designed for telemedicine applications. The Park Ridge, NJ-based company will emphasize the benefits of its systems for clinical consultation and teaching practices in specialties such as pathology, dermatology, cardiology, and psychiatry.

TriniCom 5100Plus features the company's Quartet four-site conferencing function, as well as a Tri-BRI network interface, high-resolution graphics, storage, and annotation capabilities.

Another package, TriniCom 3000Plus series, offers users a choice of three group videoconferencing systems, which support ISDN bandwidth ranging from 56 to 384 kbps. TriniCom DMS provides high-quality videoconferencing and data collaboration on a PC or notebook computer. All three systems are available through authorized Sony Medical Systems resellers at suggested list prices ranging from $5000 to $25,000, depending on system configuration.
