Mammography information system developer PenRad Technologies of Plymouth, MN, has signed on Summit Medical Technologies of Arlington Heights, IL, to sell its PenRad MIS. The software is Windows NT-based and provides medical auditing, tracking, and scheduling, according to Grady Miars, executive vice president of PenRad.

Summit plans to sell the product alongside the Giotto mammography system, an Italian-made product to which Summit gained marketing rights last year (SCAN Special Report 12/97). PenRad also recently signed an OEM deal with Dynamic Healthcare Technologies of Maitland, FL, which is integrating the PenRad software into its Maxifile radiology information system.
