The 1000th Toshiba multidetector system was installed earlier this month at El Centro Regional Medical Center located in El Centro, CA. Installation of the company's midtier Asteion CT occurred only 31 months after the company produced its first multidetector system in June 1999. Toshiba also offers the Aquilion, its flagship product line, which includes a 16-slice configuration released late last year.
