An economical ultrasound system has joined the Aplio family at Toshiba America Medical Systems. The commercially available Aplio MX can support advanced ultrasound exams, usually done on larger, more expensive ultrasound systems, according to the company. The system is about 30% lighter than traditional cart-based systems. The system, which offers a 19-inch monitor and customizable key console, can be configured to include Toshiba’s iAssist technology, which pre-registers frequently used protocols to save time during exams and increase productivity.
