Access Radiology debuts Framewave Web

Access Radiology has formally released Framewave Web, the company’s Web-based teleradiology and image distribution application (

PNN

1/99). The program allows secure image and report communication over the Internet to radiologists and other clinicians. With Framewave Web, radiologists can create audio reports and consult studies, as well as gain access to previous reports over the intranet or Internet via advanced work-flow management tools, according to Access.

Framewave Web offers privacy protections such as secure socket layer connections (SSL) and data encryption. The application has been tested at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, as well as at HealthSystems Minnesota of Minneapolis, MN.
