Imaging services firm Diagnostic Health Services and ultrasoundvendor Acuson have reached an agreement in which DHS will purchasenew Acuson scanners and upgrades worth $2.3 million. Dallas-basedDHS is the largest independent diagnostic provider client forMountain View, CA-based Acuson, with over 50 systems in operation.

In other DHS news, the company said last month that it hascompleted the acquisition of cardiovascular ultrasound imagingprovider Advanced Diagnostic Imaging. The purchase, accomplishedthrough a stock swap, gives DHS increased presence in north Texas,according to DHS chairman and CEO Max Batzer.
