ADAC Laboratories last month moved to expand its growing position in the information systems market by signing an agreement to acquire Cortet, a Winter Park, FL, developer of an information system used in cardiac catheterization labs. Cortet's CorCAAT has been installed at 13 sites. Acquiring the line gives ADAC the opportunity to speed up its efforts in the cardiovascular information management segment, according to chairman and CEO David Lowe. The transaction is valued at $3.5 million.
