month announced that it has purchased five new mobile 1-tesla
MRI scanners worth a total of $8 million. Alliance bought two
of the scanners from GE, two from Siemens, and one from Picker.
The deal is part of Alliance's campaign to upgrade its mobile
fleet: The firm has bought 11 new 1-tesla mobile scanners this
year, and plans to upgrade another 14, according to president
Richard Zehner.
