Alliance Imaging of Orange, CA, announced this month that it hasacquired the CT and MRI assets of Advanced Healthcare DiagnosticService (AHDS), a southern California imaging services providerowned by Paracelsus Healthcare, a Pasadena, CA, hospital group.
The acquisition includes five-year contracts to provide CTand MRI services to seven southern California hospitals in theParacelsus group as well as to other customers. Alliance believesthe contracts are worth a combined total of over $7.5 million.Alliance said it is actively seeking other acquisitions.
Alliance also reported that it has signed an eight-year agreementto provide MRI services to Lakewood Regional Medical Center inLakewood, CA. Alliance will provide a full-time 1-tesla scannerin a building on the hospital campus and will provide personnelto manage the center's operations. It is Alliance's fifth full-serviceMRI agreement.
