The door to this license opened when Analogic took a minority equity stake in the fledgling company. PhotoDetection Systems specializes in the development of high-performance PET technology. Access to this technology may provide the foundation upon which Analogic can construct a competitive hybrid PET/CT system using Analogic's own CT technology, according to PhotoDetection.
