Avreo (formerly Riptide Technologies) and A-Life Medical have entered into an OEM partnership to integrate A-Life's LifeCode technology into Avreo's ARIIS (advanced radiology integrated Internet solution), both XML-native systems. LifeCode, based on natural language processing, provides real-time code generation and compliance checking. Avreo intends to use the LifeCode engine to add voice recognition functionality to ARIIS, giving radiologists immediate feedback regarding diagnostic reports. The firms will demonstrate the integrated products at the RSNA meeting.
