Heartlab’s Encompass Cardiac Network is being readied for installation at Shands Healthcare, a Florida chain that includes eight not-for-profit hospitals served by more than 1000 University of Florida and community physicians. Encompass provides a central repository of patient data and digital images from multiple modalities. Clinicians can access cases stored on the DVD Image Archive. Secure LAN, WAN, or Internet access is also available so clinicians can reference patient data from any PC with a Web browser.
