Chalk one up for USA Instruments. The coil manufacturer had been accused by IGC-Medical Advances of infringing on a patent covering the design of certain radio-frequency MRI coils. Judge John C. Shabaz of the Western District of Wisconsin disagreed. Executives at IGC-MA, a subsidiary of Intermagnetics General Corp., reportedly are considering further options.
