CSC to market Autros medication management
Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) has teamed with Autros Healthcare Solutions to market, sell, and install Autros' Medication Management System to CSC's U.S. provider clients. The Autros System uses handheld and barcode technologies to manage the ordering and administering of prescription drugs. Physicians use a Palm-like device to submit the order, automatically checking for drug interactions and dosage. The order is then transmitted to the hospital, pharmacy, or nursing unit. Handheld devices scan the medication and patient ID and check the information against a medical record database to confirm that the right patient receives the prescription.
