Fischer Imaging appointed Louis Rivelli to the position of president and chief operating officer this month. Rivelli brings management experience from previous posts at Philips Medical Systems, Olsen Electric Motors, and Logistix. He will be responsible for all company operations and will oversee all Fischer’s managers. Along with his appointment as president, Rivelli was elected to the Denver, CO, company’s board. The company has also begun an effort to restructure into four business units: mammography and biopsy systems, general radiographic systems, electrophysiology and intraoperative imaging, and generators and imaging systems.
