MRI vendor Fonar will reprise last year's appearance at the RSNAmeeting to promote its Quad series of open MRI scanners. Fonarresurfaced at the 1995 show after eschewing the Chicago meetingfor six years.
Since last year's conference, the Melville, NY, company hasbegun shipping the Quad scanners, which consist of the 0.35-teslaQuad 7000 and the 0.6-tesla Quad 12000. A Fonar spokesperson saidthe company has a half-dozen deliveries scheduled through January,with more orders expected to be generated by the RSNA meeting.
