The unit was placed at De Madrid Hospital in Madrid under a $2 million contract that includes servicing. The deal is part of Fonars strategy to market its products worldwide through 12 international distributors, according to Sol Ginzburg, vice president of sales. Melville, NY-based Fonar launched Quad 12000, a four-post open system built around resistive magnets, in November 1995.
