MR pioneer Fonar sought new customers at the American Association of Neurological Surgeons meeting May 3 to 5 in Orlando, FL. The meeting attracted about 3000 neurosurgeons and related healthcare professionals. Fonar's 30 x 50-foot exhibit featured a full-size mockup of the company's Stand-Up MRI. Fonar has been actively courting specialists outside radiology, notably orthopedic surgeons, who might benefit from the ability of the Stand-Up scanner to visualize the spine under normal weight-bearing conditions.
