GE wins bid to install PACS at Louisiana Medical Center

GE's campaign to improve its penetration of the private-sector PACS market got a boost last month when the Milwaukee-based vendor announced that its Integrated Imaging Solutions unit had received a $3.4 million contract to install a scalable PACS network at Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport. The hospital will conduct diagnostic reading on six high-resolution workstations, with clinical viewing available from 14 workstations located in other hospital departments. Two Fuji AC-3 computed radiography readers and two film digitizers will also be installed.
