Head of COCIR departs

Tom Egelund, chair of the European Coordination Committee of the Radiological and Electromedical Industry (COCIR) since April 2002, has taken a new post outside of the medical devices industry. Dr. Frank Anton, the acting chair, is the COCIR board's preferred candidate in the election of the new chair, which takes place on 15 October. Anton is the head of European sales at Siemens Medical Solutions.
