of mini C-arm developer FluoroScan Imaging Systems of Northbrook,
IL (SCAN 7/31/96). Hologic, of Waltham, MA, completed the acquisition
through a stock swap, in which each share of FluoroScan stock
was exchanged for 0.31069 shares of Hologic stock. The acquisition
is the first step in Hologic's strategy to diversify into new
markets, according to chairman and CEO David Ellenbogen.
