Bone densitometry manufacturer Hologicannounced this month that it has named Steve L. Nakashige presidentand COO. Nakashige comes to the Waltham, MA, firm from GE MedicalSystems, where he was a senior manager in the vendor's ultrasoundbusiness.

Nakashige will assume positions previously held by Hologicco-founder David Ellenbogen, who will remain chairman and CEO.Nakashige's appointment will allow Ellenbogen to devote more timeto new product development and growing the company's internationaldistribution channels.
